Nice Move

We received the following email today about a damn fine American soldier and college football player.

Whats up guys?

My name is [name redacted] and I play football for Dartmouth College. Last winter a 31-year-old ex-Army Ranger joined our team and has been working out and practicing with us ever since. The guy is cool as fuck and a couple of weeks ago he finally got a chance to play when we were killing Columbia in the fourth quarter. Attached is a video of what he did with his first collegiate handoff. It being Veterans day and all, I thought this seemed pretty appropriate.

Go America,
[name redacted]

It is very appropriate. It always is, actually, Veterans Day or not.

Kevin Price is his name, and he served six — yes, six — three-month deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan as an Army Ranger. He’s also a husband and father of two. On October 26, while his Dartmouth Big Green held a comfortable lead over Columbia, Price’s already impressive list of achievements grew by one more. He saw his first live game action. And as you’d expect, he made the most of it.

Watch Kevin Price’s first ever collegiate carry:

On top of all that, the man is “cool as fuck,” per our emailer. What an awesome moment. Happy Veterans Day.

Kevin Price

Roger Dorn (@RogerJDorn) is the Vice President of Media for Grandex, Inc. He's a native Texan with a full head of hair and knows his way around a nice box of red wine. Dorn graduated (BBA) with a GPA sitting in the meaty part of the bell curve, not lagging behind, but not trying to show off, either. Golf is his game now. He's long off the tee but can't putt for shit. Email: dillon@grandex.co

For those of you who don’t know what it takes to be an Army Ranger, take a few minutes to educate yourselves. This guy is a true badass and a true American.

The Surviving the Cut episode focuses on Ranger School which is a leadership school upon completion of which you earn the Ranger Tab. To be a true Ranger you go through RASP to join the 75th Ranger Regiment. Check out “To Hell and Back”, SOFREPs youtube channel, or Dick Couch’s “Sua Sponte” for more info on actual Army Rangers. It’s a very common misconception.

That email has to be fake. It has grammar and punctuation and is coherent. Cut the shit, Dorn.

On a serious note, this is absolutely awesome. Go America!
