With TCU’s improbable comeback win on Monday against NC-State, they moved onto the Super Regionals where they will host in-state foe Texas A&M. A tipster sent us the following about how TCU’s Athletic Director may have allowed A&M to turn a large portion of Lupton Stadium maroon.

A&M baseball fans sell out the TCU Super Regional after the TCU AD post a promo code that allows for season ticket holders to purchase tickets before they go on sale to the public Thursday at 8am. As of noon Wednesday tickets were sold out.

After doing some investigative research, it turns out that season ticket holders received an email with a promo code to buy reserved GA tickets before the rest of the public, including A&M fans. The reserved tickets went on sale Tuesday night. Not satisfied with the email blast, TCU’s AD and the TCU Frog Club both tweeted out the promo code on Monday night, which was “TCU15.”

The tweets have since been deleted. Wrong move, TCU. Texas A&M fans got ahold of the code and blasted it all over the forum on TexAgs. Aggie fans went ahead and bought a bunch, effectively screwing some TCU fans out of reserved tickets. You might be wondering why Texas A&M fans were able to buy GA seats reserved for season ticket holders. One TCU fan explained that all you had to do was create a new account, and voila, you could buy some tickets.

TCU fans couldn’t help but take some hilarious shots at Aggie fans about how some of them will have to sit on the grass. For that, I respect them.

As of this morning, all general admission tickets are sold out. Just saying, but SMU wouldn’t make this kind of mistake.
