When you’re a stud baseball player who can hit it a mile, barely missing a ball is one of the most infuriating things in the world. You know you should have pissed on it and launched it into the seats, only you fly out to left.
In the top of the 7th of last night’s game with the Cubs, Bryce Harper made some contact with an 89 MPH sinker. Harper knew he just missed it, too. Thinking that he was about to fly out, he tossed his bat in disgust only to watch the ball fly over the ivy for a game-tying solo home run.
That is some grown man strength right there. No wonder Harper is leading the MLB in home runs (17) and slugging percentage (.734). Speaking of grown man strength, check out Cubs phenom Kris Bryant’s 477-foot blast from last night.
The MLB is in good hands with these two youngsters..
