The results are in: everyone hates Colin Kaepernick when it comes to NFL players. E-Poll Marketing Research did some polling of 1,100 people who had representative demographics to that of the general population, and Colin was the big winner, or loser, in the poll.

From ESPN:

The poll, taken last week, revealed that Kaepernick was “disliked a lot” by 29 percent of those polled, more than any of the more than 350 players asked about in the survey. Kaepernick finished ahead, in the dislike category, of Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston (22 percent), Miami Dolphins defensive end Ndamukong Suh (21 percent), New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady (13 percent) and Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger (10 percent).

Talk about good company. Kaepernick’s in the same mentions as two future Hall of Fame quarterbacks who have won multiple Super Bowls each, the highest paid defensive lineman in all of football, and a hyped QB that enjoys a nice seafood dinner. When you’re going to go down as the least liked player in the league, it’s nice to at least be hitched to the names of people who are so successful… and Winston.

I don’t get why we are still talking about Kaepernick. I wanted that convo to end when the football season began. Like I’ve said before, I don’t agree with his method of protest because I will never not stand with my hand over my heart during the national anthem, but he is allowed to speak freely on issues he cares about — whether or not people agree with him. That’s the beauty of the First Amendment. Kap is allowed to protest, and you’re allowed to hate him for it — which they clearly do.

I will say that the NFL and 49ers do have the ability to tell him to stop or face punishment if they feel like it’s affecting their image. It’s called employer’s rights, and the team could punish him as they please for being disrespectful to the flag if they so choose.
