The video is actually from way back in 2012, and served as a commercial for the video game MLB 12: The Show. Back then, a World Series seemed lightyears away for the Cubbies -- their 2012 record was an abysmal 61-101, which was their worst season in 46 years at that time. This year, they turned that figure on its head, going 103-58.
I should point out one thing, though: this video has the Cubs winning the World Series at Wrigley Field, which obviously isn't possible anymore. Does that mean 2016 won't be the year the Cubs end the drought, and that, instead, it will be broken another year when they either have home field advantage or do a better job of making use of their home stand? There's only one way to find out.
