Oxford, MS — Former top-rated rushee, Hudson McAllister III, was free to sign a bid card elsewhere after IFC confirmed last Thursday that McAllister III’s initial initiation with Beta Upsilon was invalid due to a clerical error.

“Yeah, we kinda fucked that one up. Never really put him in the system after we got so drunk on initiation night. In fact, all 39 of the guys are able to sign elsewhere. Hudson was just the shining star, so he’s getting most of the attention,” former president of Beta Upsilon Beaux Montgomery told TFM.

After going through the recruitment process again, Hudson decided not to re-sign with the brotherhood he had been apart of for the last four years.

“This has been by far the most challenging few days in my fraternal life. The main directive I had for myself in making my choice was to have it based on the potential for my growth as a fraternity man — being the lead example for students has always been very important to me,” McAllister III told TFM. “But I am also at a point in my fraternal career where it is just as important to find the right place where I am in the best position to win in intramurals, have sex with the hottest females, and throw the best parties. These are all essential to encourage my evolution as a man. Moving out of my comfort zone to a new fraternity and brotherhood offers the greatest potential for me to achieve all of those goals. With this in mind, I have decided that I am taking my talents to Gamma Sigma for my fifth year.”

Gamma Sig has been the bastion for success on campus. Two years ago they took home the trophy in every intramural sport and this year were one win away from winning it all in football and basketball. While the success in intramurals played a key role in Hudson’s decision, Gamma Sig’s ability to bring in a record number of girls this past season was the main deciding factor.

“It was crazy to watch from an outsider’s perspective. You see these guys fresh off a banner year, and they just didn’t show any signs of fatigue. From the start of the year, you knew it was going to be a special one. Even if it came at the expense of myself and my former brothers, it was just crazy to see all the girls they were bringing in. That 1995-96 record was always in sight for them.”

Once Hudson goes through pledgeship again and is initiated, he will become the fourth highest rated prospect to pledge at Gamma Sigma — all three other prospects are currently actives. Many members around the Greek community believe that with McAllister III in tow, Gamma Sig is putting together and unstoppable force. Meanwhile, his former brothers have started burning all of Hudson’s intramural jerseys.
