In Wake Of OU Incident, SAE Now Has National Director Of Diversity And Inclusion

In Wake Of OU Incident, SAE Hires National Director Of Inclusion And Diversity

Back in March, the video of the OU SAE chant went viral and led to the chapter closing, two students getting expelled, lawsuits, and eventual apologies from the two kids. It was a mess of a situation.

The national fraternity would then announce an initiative to investigate the diversity in their chapters nationwide. Today, they have hired their National Director Of Diversity And Inclusion.

From OU Daily:

Evanston, Illinois-based Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity said in a news release Thursday it had hired North Carolina native Ashlee Canty to help oversee efforts to enhance diversity at the fraternity’s more than 200 chapters.

The position is part of an initiative announced by the fraternity in March.

Hopefully, this will help SAE close the chapter of their book and move on from this.
