Jerry Jones has an interesting explanation for not putting Tony Romo on the injured reserve following last month’s back injury. Apparently, it would be like “circumcising a mosquito.”

From Star-Telegram:

“You don’t have to spend a lot of time going over and kind of circumcising the mosquito. You don’t have to do that over there on him because you look back over on the other side that caused you to make the decision, and there’s nobody good enough to take that spot to give you a chance for that if he can come back.”

Why, that Jerry is as wild as a junebug on a string.

A lot of people are shaking their heads and saying, “What the fuck is that geezer talking about?” But I got you, Jerry. I am surprisingly well-versed in Old Southern Man-isms.

By “circumcising the mosquito,” I’m pretty sure he means, “to go to great lengths for no apparent reason.” He doesn’t want to put Romo on the Injured Reserve because he thinks his star QB will be back LICKETY SPLIT, Y’ALL.

As for Romo, his vertebrate are slicker’n shit on a hoe handle. Tighten up, son.
