Ole Miss To Debut Greatest Promo Ever During Baseball Games This Season

Ingenuity in sports is placed at a premium these days. Teams are always looking to get ahead with goofy promotions and awesome in-game contests. Well, it looks like the Rebels of Ole Miss have outdone everyone with their latest promotion that will take place during each Rebs’ home game in the upcoming NCAA baseball season.

Instead of some lame hot dog race, or the more hilarious Presidential Race during Washington Nationals games (big fan of that), the Rebels will be hosting a Solo Cup race. Ole Miss has reached out to their students in a different way, not necessarily promoting drinking or beer pong, but relating to them in a more comical and fun way, encouraging fans to…”enjoy themselves” during Rebel baseball games. I love it.

I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say that the red Solo Cup is probably going to be the most popular contestant at each game. Mississippi baseball made waves in the TFM universe last year with their awesome home run celebration, seen here:

Now with this spectacular contest, it seems as though Swayze Field at Oxford Stadium will be a must visit destination for any and all college baseball fans.

Plus, this is like the least offensive thing they’ve done at a sporting event in like 75 years. Good for you, Ole Miss.

yeah we’ve been there, done that, got the teeshirt and had the shower thing banned banned already in Davis Waide. I always thought it looked cool. I like the audacity of the solo cup thing but, go to Hell Ole Miss!
