RIP Flappy Bird

Screen Shot 2014-02-10 at 1.31.42 PM

Flappy Bird, we hardly knew you. This weekend, the game creator’s, Dong Nguyen (great name), took to Twitter to announce that he would be taking down his creation, and, in doing so, he ripped the hearts out of nerd chests everywhere.

Dude makes a smooth $50,000 a day in Flappy Bird revenue. FIFTY GRAND, for something that is consumed by the public for free. Tou’re turning it down because of all the attention that’s been brought to your private life?

Bright side of the ill-fated Flappy Bird saga coming to a close? At least we can go back to a time when JR Smith was the only person talking about pipe on Twitter.
