Nice Move

Since I’ve started my daily contribution to the links section I have read a lot of thoughtless anti-Greek columns like the one this guy is responding to. Frankly they’re almost all absurd. This article’s author sort of inadvertently describes all of them. If you ever wonder why today’s media is awful look no further than how mediocre many of your own college journalists seem to be, apparently the future of journalism won’t be much better.

“Thirteen percent of Tufts undergraduates are engaged in Greek life. We are everywhere on campus. To take one example among Tufts’ sixteen Greek organizations, Theta Chi is a collection of strong personalities, including the President of the Pan−African Alliance, the President of Tufts Queer−Straight Alliance, the President of the Arab Students Association, a freshman class president, a record−breaking track−team member, three JumpStart educators and a co−chair of the Programming Board, to name just a few.” – Wow.

I think I may have discovered a new hobby: reading the comment sections of Ivy League and other top-tier schools’ newspapers. The vocabulary is magnificent.
