Most Popular Majors Among Football Players

Football players have it really easy when it comes to academics. They are given tons of resources to succeed in the classroom, though some have it better than others (what up, UNC?). I’ve been in classes with numerous football players and they’ve always managed to pass the course no matter what. I even let one of our DEs cheat off my in Psychology.

A lot of your academic success in college can be attributed to the major you choose. Let’s be real, Engineering and Finance are far more difficult than a Communication or Education degree. So what are players in the power 5 conferences majoring in? Well, Bleacher Report digged into the statistics and discovered the 10 most popular majors among players in each power 5 conference.

A few takeaways:

• I can fairly assume the majority of those arts and science majors in the ACC attend Florida State, where education isn’t a big role.

• The SEC isn’t too keen on business.

• The Big 12 would be the conference I poach for some business-minded folk — as long as they were from Texas or TCU.

• Athletes really love those Kinesiology and Sports science majors because when football fails, you can count on them being a personal trainer somewhere.

I wonder what Cardale Jones’ major was. I wonder if he even went to class. I wonder if he even knew where his school’s library was located.
