Nice Move

The Alpha Delta Pi sorority at the University of Texas — this part scares me because they stay 15 minutes from this office and could group-murk me in the parking lot — is gearing up for fall rush and started the hype early with a rush video that will haunt you for eternity.

The video was deleted by the original tweeter, but as we should all know by now, the internet never forgets.

It’s the hands. Spirit fingers from hell, like 50 basic white girls simultaneously clawing out your soul while smiling. And the chanting, and the “we’re so glad you’re finally here” line. Terrifying.

It’s called a “door stack,” according to the former sorority members in our office, and to be fair, they’re very common. Every sorority does some form of this, and most are as uncomfortable. They need to not be common, though, because they’re cringey and embarrassing, and I don’t see how this will convince an impressionable 18-year-old to join their cult.

My boy Jake set it to more appropriate music.

If you find my lifeless body in a heap of broken bones and glitter, start questioning the residents of UT’s ADPi house.
