Two Members Of Sigma Nu Suffer Life Threatening Traumas, Brothers Come To Aid

Earlier this morning, I received an email from a few University of Iowa Sigma Nus with some heavy news. Two of their brothers had suffered major traumatic medical conditions before the spring semester began.

Rodric Jackson, a member of Sigma Nu at the University Of Iowa, was diagnosed with stage three brain cancer. Since his diagnosis, he has withdrawn from school for the semester and has undergone multiple surgeries and is currently receiving radiation treatment. His brother told me that the bond between him and the house is as strong as ever.

A few days after the brothers received this unfortunate news, they were given even more terrible news. Andrew Mogni was traveling abroad in Rome when he fell 40 feet and suffered major head trauma. Doctors placed him in a medically induced coma, and he has been battling several infections and internal bleeding, as well as possible brain damage. He was finally medically transported back to the United States just a few days ago and is now at Northwestern Hospital receiving treatment.

The brothers did not stand idly by as they created two GoFundMe campaigns. One is for Brother Rodric, and the other is for their philanthropy, “Kickin’ It For A Cure.” Their philanthropy is centered around helping out the two brothers and their families. To show their support, they have also hung banners outside of their house that say “Pray for Mogni,” and “Pray for Rodric.” Recently, the brothers ordered wristbands that say PrayForMogni on one side and PrayForRodric on the other. In addition, they also made basketball jerseys for the semester.

I highly suggest taking time out of your day to donate to these causes. They need our help. Every little bit counts.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the brothers of Sigma Nu, their friends, and the family of these two fine gentlemen.
