Once again, I’m going back to the alma mater well for content, and once again it has nothing to do with my fraternity. Really proud, guys. Keep flying under the radar.
We received this video from UCF Kappa Sigma’s Key West Fest a few weeks back, and I didn’t give it any sort of chance. I justified my stance out of pure unadulterated hate that I have for the “Uptown Funk.” Any video with that track is getting immediately thrown in the trash. No questions asked. But if we’re being perfectly honest, I went in with a negative attitude before ever hitting play because I’m still bitter about DodgeBrawl 2012.
Dave, that ball bounced six feet in front of me before I stopped it with my foot. You know it, your Kappa Sig brothers know it, and all the Alpha Xis half-heartedly watching know it. But for some unbeknownst reason, the hack intramural referee who wasn’t even looking in my general direction decided to take the game into his own hands and call me out. He didn’t just completely blow the call, he went all out with the theatrics and made Joey Crawford look tame.
Your win is tainted and I’ll go to my grave thinking the better team did not leave with the trophy that fateful autumn evening.
With that said, one of their brothers sent me an email again today with this video attached, and verbally stroked me off and told me how great I am. Factor in that they did raise $30,000 for the Military Heroes Campaign and had a pretty solid party doing so, and they deserve proper recognition no matter how much they wronged me in the past.
So yeah, good job with the philanthropy, guys. Truly awesome stuff. Now proceed to go kindly fuck yourselves. #NeverForget.
