Nice Move

December 7th, 1941 is a day that will live in infamy as Pearl Harbor was attacked by Japan. The U.S.S Arizona was one of the ships docked in Pearl Harbor on that day. The ship exploded violently and sank, killing 1,177 officers and crewmen that were aboard. The remains still lie at the bottom of the harbor.

The University of Arizona has Hawaii this weekend to play some football, and they decided to honor the U.S.S. Arizona with some pretty awesome uniforms.

If that doesn’t get your patriotic juices flowing, you’re not an American. The color scheme was chosen from the colors of the ship itself. The back of their helmets will have a decal donning the battle cry of the U.S.S. Arizona and the front will have a decal with the date of the Pearl Harbor attack. The helmets even changed their “A” to be a block A that is similar to the ones on jerseys in a U.S.S. Arizona team football photo.

Well done on these unis, guys.
