UPenn Students Were Forced To Watch Porn For Class, Why Are People Upset?

Do you guys remember that “Wasting Time On The Internet” class that UPenn was offering? If your plans are to go into a creative writing concentration, you are required to take the class — most likely because that’s what you’d be doing with a creative writing degree after you graduate.

It turns out that students didn’t really like the course because wasting time on the internet for three straight hours got boring. This was even after they got to watch porn on full blast in the classroom.

From The College Fix:

As for the porn assignment, the student, who asked to remain anonymous, said in an email to The College Fix that the class sat in a circle in a crowded university building “and played the same porn video on our computers at the same time on full volume.”

“It created a very uncomfortable environment for us – some of the class even got up part of the way through and left because they were uncomfortable,” she stated, adding other students on campus apparently did not notice the group porn viewing.

“People … didn’t even hear or notice, to my knowledge,” she said.

She described the pornography screening as part of a series of “experiments based on discomfort – trying to make the most uncomfortable environment possible.”

So these kids got to participate in a university sanctioned circle jerk, with porn on full blast, and no one noticed? What the heck were they watching?

They also didn’t get up and leave because they were uncomfortable; they got up and left because they were finished masturbating and once you’re finished, watching porn is rendered useless. Everyone knows that. I don’t see why this student is so up in arms about it, though. They just got academic credit to watch porn.

Lighten up, lube up, and enjoy class.
