Miami-Virginia Tech Threw A Sweet Anti-Obamacare Tailgate

It’s time for all you glass-half-empty naysayers who falsely proclaim that Obamacare has never produced anything worthwhile to pay the piper.

This past weekend, the University of Miami, aided by the funding of conservative kingmakers, the Koch Brothers, threw what sounds like an absolutely ridiculous tailgate. It had everything you love about tailgate season: all-around patriotic debauchery.

The theme of the occasion? A red, white, and blue-colored middle finger directed at the President’s health care policies.

“We rolled in with a fleet of Hummers, F-150’s and Suburbans, each vehicle equipped with an 8’ high balloon bouquet floating overhead. We hired a popular student DJ from UMiami (DJ Joey), set up OptOut cornhole sets, *beer pong tables, bought 75 pizzas, and hired 8 ‘brand ambassadors’ aka models with bullhorns to help out,” wrote David Pasch, Generation Opportunity’s communication director, in en (sic) email to the Tampa Bay Times. “*Student activists independently brought (lots of) beer and liquor for consumption by those 21 and over. Oh yeah, and we educated students about their healthcare options outside the expensive and creepy Obamacare exchanges.”

Nothing gets the people in a frenzy pre-kickoff quite like taking a boring lecture on socialism. Been saying it for years.

What a power move by the Koch brothers here. It’s never too early to start rallying the troops for 2016. When it comes to having a raucous time, right wingers party like it’s an election year.

And if any of the student partygoers went so hard in the binge drinking paint that, come Sunday, they were struggling with bouts of liver poisoning? Their medical expenses could be covered by the very same policy that drove them to a hospital bed in the first place. Win-win.
