The first rule of fight club: don’t have it in the middle of the school day when you’re supposed to be teaching Trigonometry or the assassination of Franz Ferdinand. Sadly, the very intelligent thought process of 23-year-old Ryan Fish led him to break this rule. Young Ryan woke up one day, walked into his job where he is constantly bullied by teenagers, and decided enough is enough. Why not have these kids bully each other?
From Hartford Courant:
A now-fired substitute teacher who police said encouraged students to smack each other in one-on-one fights in his Montville High School math class was arrested Thursday.
Ryan Avery Fish, 23, of South Road in Bozrah, told police “I’m an idiot” who just wanted to be friends with the students, according to the warrant for his arrest. He was charged with four counts of second-degree reckless endangerment, two counts of risk of injury to a minor and one count of breach of peace. He was fired on Oct. 10.
This is the inherent problem with substitute teachers. It takes basically no qualifications to be one. In most states, it’s just a college degree, even if you completely mailed it in and majored in something like general studies. And in other parts of the country, it takes even less. Dudes like this idiot should not be blindly trusted to be around high schoolers all day. It’s totally absurd. Look what occurs when we let that happen.
Can we talk about how much bigger that one kid is than the other? This guy Ryan is such a jerk that not only is he running a fight club, but he’s trying to create unfair matchups, too. Little did he know, however, little man can scrap. The real question is what Ryan had to say for himself when his little venture was discovered.
When the principal confronted Fish about the videos, Fish downplayed the incidents, saying, “Boys will be boys,” the warrant said.
“Boys will be boys — when I prompt them to fight each other for my own personal enjoyment.” This kid is a real piece of shit. Like all you have to do as a sub is sit at a desk for a couple of hours and collect a check. His actions are the exact opposite of what he is there for. The absence of any sub altogether would have been a better solution than him.
“The truth is I’m an idiot and wanted to befriend them,” Fish, who was 22 at the time, was quoted as saying in the warrant. “I’m immature.”
Hate to see someone hit rock bottom like this..
