It’s October 5th, and the Kansas Jayhawks are yet to lose a football game. Every time I type that, it doesn’t get less shocking. While watching Jalon Daniels play like the selective breeding offspring of Lamar Jackson and Serena Williams has been incredible, last Saturday was the Jayhawk’s most impressive win yet…because they won with their defense. Coming into their win over Iowa State, every Kansas win was a Big-12 shootout with opponents unable to keep up with the likes (or should I say legs) of Jalon Daniels, Devin Neal, and Daniel Hishaw. That wasn’t the case last Saturday. Kansas had more sacks than an Anytime Fitness locker room. The Jayhawks put more pressure on Hunter Dekkers than a first-generation Asian American puts on their kid around SAT time. Sam Burt, Lonnie Phelps, Taiwan Berryhill, and Craig Young each had a sack, and most had multiple pressures. The Jayhawks also demonstrated that they could stop the runs more effectively than Pepto Bismol, limiting Iowa State to just twenty-six yards on the ground. The Jayhawks will need to repeat this recipe to slow down a TCU team that ran all over Oklahoma with 361 rushing yards.

The Horned Frog offense is just as capable as Kansas’. Max Duggan is right behind Jalon Daniels for the best quarterback in the Big 12 this year. Duggan passed for 302 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions last week against Oklahoma, adding 116 yards and two touchdowns on the ground because why not? He has the third-best QBR in college football, right behind Daniels and C.J. Stroud, and he’s shown no signs of slowing down. However, TCU has played far easier opponents than Kansas. Before destroying an overrated Oklahoma team last weekend, the Frogs’ best win was against an SMU team that’s been more disappointing than me in bed after a few too many rum and cokes. Kansas has won against West Virginia, Houston, Duke’s best team in years, and Iowa State. Vegas likes TCU -7, but Kansas will win this game straight up, just like they have every other time they’ve been underdogs this year. Kansas is 5-0 ATS, and they are home this weekend for COLLEGE GAMEDAY. Lawrence will be filled with Jayhawks, young and old, witnessing another game on Jalon Daniels’ quest for Heisman. Take the Jayhawks moneyline and get your free $200 from BetMGM when they score a touchdown!
