If this matchup doesn’t make your nuts tingle, it’s time to go on some testosterone because God knows your wife isn’t satisfied. This will be a rematch of the greatest playoff game the world has ever seen and quite possibly an equally as great cure for my Sunday hangover. Last year it only took the Chiefs 13 seconds (a respectable amount of time to do anything if you’re asking me) to come downfield and will their way to an overtime victory. And while some of the supporting cast from both teams has departed, we still have the main characters for part two. Depending on who you ask, Josh Allen or Patrick Mahomes is the best quarterback in the NFL. The Bills have struggled to run the ball at times this year, but when Devin Singletary and Josh Allen are in synch, they can attack any defense like two sorority girls in synch conquering a bowl of Häagen-Dazs. So far this season, Allen leads the NFL with 1,651 passing yards and 16 total touchdowns. Last week, his two bombs to Gabe Davis made what we did to Japan look like light work. The Bills have a top-five offensive line in the league, a pass rush that has generated the third-highest pressure rate this season (33.1 percent), and Tre’Davious White is practicing again.

The Bills are an unstoppable entity…and they are meeting an unmovable object. It’s tough to write about the Chiefs’ games because my boss requires a word count of approximately 400, and there are only so many ways I can say they will win every week without sounding repetitive. But hey, let’s give it a shot. Patrick Mahomes leads the NFL with 15 touchdowns and has 1,398 passing yards (4th). On Monday against the Raiders, there wasn’t even a second where anybody doubted that the Chiefs wouldn’t win the game. Watching them play football is like a Marvel movie. Yes, the Chiefs might get to their wins differently every time, but the result is still almost always the same. Center Creed Humphrey and guard Trey Smith have immediately made their presence felt on the line, making it easier for Kansas City’s running backs to run through an opposing team like bad Chinese food during a hangover. For crying out loud, both Cyle Edwards-Helaire and rookie Isiah Pacheco are averaging 4.5 yards per carry or more. They are teetering on being a dynasty and their run game has never been this excellent. Speaking of running the football, that’s where this game will be decided. The Bills have had their issues running this year, and as it stands right now, they are a little one-dimensional. While the Chief’s secondary hasn’t looked great, they have the best-run defense in football, so they will expect Josh Allen to throw the ball forty-five+ times. Kansas City has a much more balanced offense. Vegas likes Buffalo -2.5, but the Chiefs will win this AFC Championship preview straight up.
