Game Analysis
NFL fans are in for a real treat tonight as Monday Night Football will include a doubleheader for twice as much action.
The first game will feature Snoop Huntley and the Miami Dolphins taking on Will Levis and the Tennesse Titans. And it will be a pivotal matchup for both teams.
The Dolphins came into this season with Super Bowl expectations. But so far it has been a year worth forgetting. After their starting quarterback Tua Tagoviloa went down with an injury in the second game of the season, they are tied for last place in the division with the New England Patriots. Sitting a 1-2 they are in desperate need of a win to stay alive in the division standings.
For the Titans, they did not come into this season with high expectations. Especially after losing their star running back, Derrick Henry to free agency. And so far they have performed exactly how most people expected them to. They are looking to score their first win of the season on the primetime stage.
In the second matchup of the night the Detroit Lions will take on the Seattle Seahawks in a matchup of two of the NFC’s most electric teams.
The Lions are still looking to avenge themselves from a disastrous loss to the San Francisco 49ers in last year’s NFC Championship Game. Coach Dan Campbell has got them back on the right track as they have started this season 2-1.
However, their two wins have come against less formidable opponents the Arizona Cardinals and Los Angeles Rams. And their one loss came to a Tampa Bay Buccaneers squad that has put the league on notice this season. Getting a win against a quality Seahawks team could do wonders for their confidence moving forward.
As for Seattle, quarterback Geno Smith is out to prove that his comeback campaign last season was no fluke. And so far he has the Seahawks off to a 3-0 start atop the NFC West. He and the Seahawks will look to continue their winning ways against the Lions on the Monday Night Stage.
So whether you are rooting for a clear favorite or hoping for a miracle by the underdog, the most important thing to remember is that you must be in it to win it.
