It has been 47 years since the Bucks were in the Finals. I have never been to Milwaukee and have no desire to ever really go, but I now want to party with them after seeing these fans lose their shit. The Bucks have been a meh franchise forever; they have had ups and downs but have never gotten over the hump. The last time they were even close was in the 2000-2001 season when they lost to the 76ers in seven. This was before Ray Allen was on the Celtics, and it was Ray Allen and Glen Robinson leading the Bucks. After 19 years, it looked like Giannis would lead them to the promised land; well, two years ago, they lost to the Raptors in six. This year the playoffs couldn’t have been more strange, and Bucks defeated the Hawks with Giannis not playing.
When the Bucks made it home, fans were lining up cheering everybody’s name. It didn’t matter if you were Jrue Holiday, Kris Middleton, Bobby Portis, and other players I don’t even know the names of. The Bucks fans were ready to chant their names until their voices went hoarse.
The Raptors had Jurassic Park going insane when they made it to the Finals; now we have the Deer District going insane in Milwaukee. Watching a giant screen of the game with thousands of insane fans is great. Whenever the Bucks aren’t home, the Deer District will be going insane, and I’m here for all of it.
We have Suns in 4 guys vs. big boy chugging beers for the Bucks. Fuck the matchups of Devin Booker vs. Jrue Holiday or Deandre Ayton vs. Giannis. The matchups, we are here for Suns in 4 guy vs. big boy chugging beer.
