Thanks to the new NIL rules allowing college athletes to benefit from their name, image, and likeness, students across the nation are finding ways to boost their bankroll through deals. The best example I have seen this year is General Booty, the quarterback from Oklahoma, who has taken the opportunity to capitalize on his own name by signing an underwear deal with Rock ‘Em Socks.
The partnership between the Oklahoma QB and Rock ‘Em Socks couldn’t be more straightforward. The company made the announcement through a video and images featuring Booty sporting underwear with his name “BOOTY” boldly displayed across the back. As part of this collaboration, the company is rolling out pairs of socks with Booty’s face and offering special editions named after the fruit, Peaches, in both socks and underwear.
To be fair, General Booty would be like any other backup QB if he didn’t have the name “General Booty”. At least he’s making money off his name, you gotta give the guy props for that
