Justin Fields is The Best Bad Quarterback in NFL History

Or maybe the worst good quarterback in NFL history. I don’t know, I can’t really decide. Either way, Justin Fields is an anomaly to an extreme the NFL has never seen.

Fields and the Bears were 0-4 through to start the season. After a trio of embarrassing losses to begin the season, they allowed the Broncos to mount a giant come back on them to prolong their winless streak. Justin Fields looked bad. The narrative was that the Bears were spiraling. Until last night.

The Bears won last night. It stopped a historic losing streak a few weeks before it reached a calendar year. But what was even weirder is that the internet’s new favorite punching bag just took the NFL lead for touchdown passes in the game. 

Yes, Justin Fields’ eleven touchdown passes lead the league so far. These also come along with five interceptions and three fumbles, but mobile Jameis Winston appears to be turning a corner in Chicago. He might not be the superstar he claims to be, but he sure has become fearless over the past few weeks. I don’t know how many games Chicago is going to win this year, but I know their losses will be fun if Fields keeps playing like that. 

This boils down to the ultimate question: is Justin Fields the best bad quarterback, or the worst good quarterback in NFL history? I vote for the former. The way
