Thirty minutes before Saturday’s team scrimmage for the defending national champion Crimson Tide, Lane Kiffin was seen trying to find a way into Bryant-Denny Stadium, seemingly locked out.

Now, there are a lot of possibilities for Kiffin being late to the party, almost missing the team’s scrimmage. Let’s take a look at the 3 most likely scenarios.
1. Nick Saban locked him out.
The relationship between Kiffin and Saban hasn’t been the smoothest. Lane got all pass happy early on before Nick put him in his place by forcing him to run the damn ball. It worked enough to get Alabama another title last season. Maybe Kiffin was back to his old tricks, just calling nothing but pass plays in practice and infuriating Saban, so he just straight up locked the man out from seeing the scrimmage.
2. Lane was busy banging a booster’s wife and/or Saban’s daughter.
Having the scrimmage start at 1 p.m. on a Saturday afternoon should give Kiffin plenty of time to take care of whatever he needs to take care of in the morning. However, it’s possible that Lane spent Friday night out on the town, taking a booster’s wife or Saban’s daughter to pound town. Maybe they were up until 4 a.m. doing fun things and Kiffin just lost track of time. It’s totally possible. How many times have you woken up Saturday at noon and had to hustle some chick outta bed so you can get somewhere?
3. He forgot about the scrimmage.
Hey, Lane is getting up there in age. It’s possible he forgot to put the scrimmage on his calendar, and just had an “Oh shit!” moment at around 12:15 p.m. I wouldn’t put it past him, considering he missed the team’s bus after the National Championship win.
Lane ended up making it into the stadium for the scrimmage eventually. So I guess he’s still got a job..
