Part of being an adult is coming to terms with the fact that some of your dreams just won’t come true. When I was a kid, I always dreamed of being an NFL wide receiver, and would practice running routes and catching footballs with my dad until the streetlights came on. However, the reality slowly set in, mostly in the form of me not being able to post better than a 4.9 40 time and wincing when I felt a safety or linebacker bearing down on me over the middle.
That dream of mine may not have come to fruition, but at least I was let down slowly. The same can’t be said for the fellow in this video, who was trying to win a million bones with one single throw. All he had to do was throw a football through a hoop, and glory and riches would be his. Make sure there aren’t any little ones in the room when you play this; it’s hard to watch.
You don’t need to use much imagination to figure out what was going through that guy’s head after he channeled 2015 Peyton Manning. A highly-publicized miss like that can only mean one thing: he’s at his old high school’s practice field right now with a football and a net, throwing. He rises before dawn, chugs down a cup of raw eggs, and begins to throw. He throws and throws and throws until he’s too tired to go on, then he throws some more.
I don’t know this guy’s name, but I know that it wouldn’t be wise to sleep on him in 2017..
