Coming into this series, both of these teams were hotter than the pizza rolls your Mom used to heat up right out of the oven. Not only has the starting rotation been lights out, but guys like Jeff McNeil and Brandon Nimmo are getting on base consistently again after July slumps. McNeil left yesterday with a cut on his hand, so he should be good to go by 7:15 tonight. Easy out Escobar, on the other hand, to be determined. Aaron Nola takes on Jacob Degrom in what’s going to be an incredible game two. Nola looked very human in August; he also plays at his worst during night games. I expect a low-scoring game with more K’s on Jacob Degrom’s box score than my ex-girlfriend texts me.
