Wow what a let down on Monday night for the Patriots. Mac Jones looked terrible, and should not have started that game. Now it seems like there is some quarterback controversy brewing up north? The offense has struggled this year with turnovers and penalties, with an offensive line that consistently looks like swiss cheese. The defense had been a bright spot, that is until they let a terrible Bears team put up 33 while Justin Fields was scampering around untouched like a dog with something in his mouth. The pressure is on for a struggling Patriots team, and Bill Belichick every week is looking less and less like a genius.
Now the Jets might be the most surprising team in the league this year. They’re 5-2 and on a four game winning streak, dismantling the Dolphins and Packers in back to back weeks. Breece Hall was having a breakout year which sadly got cut short, but James Robinson should be able to keep that offense looking electric. Zach Wilson is on the prowl for milfs and wins, and has a solid cast of receivers around him. They’re holding opponents to under 20 points per game, and should perform well against a Patriots offense that only managed to score in the second quarter against da Bears. I wouldn’t have believed this take at the beginning of the year, but I like the value on the Jets here.
