The NBA season is in full swing, and this week we have a matchup between the Memphis Grizzlies and the defending champion Golden State Warriors, teams that have a mini rivalry brewing. Let’s break down this Western Conference showdown so you can (responsibly) make the most out of this sweet offer from FanDuel.
Well, this season has been a bit of a struggle for last year’s champions. They’re sitting at 23-24 and all the way in 10th in the West. Steph has been a bright spot averaging almost 30, but injuries and a lack of defensive production have led to a number of losses. Despite their struggles getting wins, the offense of the Warriors has been better than most teams in the league, averaging 117.6 PPG (T3rd), first in place, first in 3pm/game, all while being a bit more efficient than the Grizzlies. The Warriors are good at home, Memphis struggles on the road, and Ja is wrestling with an ankle injury. Are all of these reasons enough to pick against Memphis?
I’m not so sure about that. While the Warriors have the better offense, it’s not by much. They average .6 more points per game and shoot .1% better from the field. The Grizzlies should out-rebound Golden State with ease as they pull, on average, 4.9 more boards a game. Memphis also has statistically the best defense in the league compared to the Warriors, who are tied 18th. I think that defense will slow the Warriors down enough for the Grizzlies to win. The one-two punch of Ja and Desmond Bane has been unreal, as they are putting up 27-8-5.5 and 22-4-5, respectively. Sure, the Grizzlies are on a losing streak, but before this losing streak, they won 7 in a row, and the Warriors have really been struggling this season. Memphis is a stronger team, and they want to win this game badly. I think they’ll steal this one on the road.
This is the game I think that Memphis will use to get back on track, so bet on the Grizzlies’ Moneyline and get $150 back In Bonus Bets!
