Did you also use your first and second-round picks on Lamar Jackson and Joe Burrow in fantasy? Because my goodness did that almost ruin me last weekend. What I am happy to report is that those two will not combine for three fantasy points ever again this season. They are way too elite of quarterbacks to do that. Meaning that this matchup is going to be a high-scoring affair. Who will come out on top? Only time will tell, but both of these teams have Super Bowl ambitions.
The Bengals played about as poorly as they could’ve in week one. Joe Burrow looked like he’d been hurt the entire off-season (which he had), and Tee Higgins and Ja’Marr Chase were nowhere to be found. Now of course that was mostly due to the fact that it was pouring rain while the game was happening and some of their chemistry with Burrow had dropped due to them not practicing together for weeks. But the fact remains, those two elite wideouts had stinkers. However, since these three elite offensive players looked like they were supposed to be playing for an XFL team rather than an NFL team last week that means that they’re bound to have a bounce-back. And a bounce-back of epic proportions to be precise. I hope the Raven’s cornerbacks have been running laps because they’ll need all the help they can get to keep up.
The Ravens are also an elite team that technically won their last game convincingly. But for some reason, it didn’t feel very convincing. Maybe it was because CJ Stroud looked more composed than Lamar in the pocket. Or maybe it was because The Ravens couldn’t seem to figure out their turnover problems until the very end of the game. Whatever it was that 22-9 final scoreline felt very flattering as compared to what we had to watch. Zay Flowers looked legit though, I’m so excited to see this kid get better and better as Lamar grows into this new passing offense. I think the Ravens are also primed for a bounce-back game with the product they put out last weekend.
Both of these teams are looking for statement wins after disappointing week one performances. Bet on either team & get $200 in bonus bets!
