Get ready for Week 8 of the college football season! Week 7 was filled with several high-intensity matchups. As the season rolls along expect to see much of the same in week 8. Teams will look to turn the intensity up a notch as bowl season and the College Football Playoff are right around the corner. That means every win and loss becomes more important. One of the key matchups in Week 8 will be the Colorado Buffaloes taking on the Arizona Wildcats in what should be a highly entertaining matchup.
Both the Buffaloes and the Wildcats will be looking to bounce back from tough losses in Week 7 this coming weekend. Colorado lost an overtime thriller to the Kansas State Wildcats while the Arizona Wildcats suffered a 41-19 beatdown at the hands of BYU.
Both squads are currently unranked. But the Buffaloes seemed to be trending toward the first ranking of the Deion Sanders era after notching three straight wins earlier this season. But that momentum was quickly halted after a disappointing loss on Saturday. As usual, the Buffaloes will look to their dynamic duo of Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders to get the job done.
Arizona enters the week as 3.5-point favorites in this matchup. But they still should approach the game with caution. Earlier this season the Buffaloes pulled off a stunning upset over the University of Central Florida after coming in as a whopping 14.5 point underdog. Coming off a bitter loss, they could be a dangerous team to face in Week 8.
So whether you are rooting for a clear favorite or hoping for a miracle by the underdog, the most important thing to remember is that you must be in it to win it.
