The NBA has officially reached Week 3 on the league’s calendar, which means the season is in full swing! One of the key matchups this week will be the Oklahoma City Thunder taking on the Phoenix Suns in what should be a highly entertaining matchup between two Western Conference juggernauts.

The Oklahoma City Thunder were one of the biggest surprises of last season. But they have officially transitioned from being the hunter to becoming the hunted. But this season has proved to be more of the same dominance from the young Thunder as they boast a 9-2 record.

The Phoenix Suns didn’t have much of a successful season last year, getting bounced in the first round of the playoffs by the Minnesota Timberwolves. But they too have gotten off to a scorching start to the season.

This game is even more magnified because the Thunder and Suns are in a three-way tie for first place in the Western Conference along with the Golden State Warriors.

Both teams are also dealing with injuries. Thunder star Chet Holmgren suffered a pelvic fracture while Kevin Durant has been sidelined with a calf strain. Both players are expected to miss significant time.

However, despite both teams dealing with injuries to their stars the Thunder still open as the favorite in this matchup over Devin Booker and the Suns who are four-and-a-half point underdogs.

So whether you are rooting for a clear favorite or hoping for a miracle by the underdog, the most important thing to remember is that you must be in it to win it.
