The Packers’ 2024 season has been a roller coaster. They started off the season rather pedestrian, but as the season has waned on, the Packers appear to only be getting better. They have now won 6 of their last 7 games and are still within striking distance of capturing another NFC North Division title. However, their one loss during that stretch came at the hands of one of the teams that stands between them winning the division — the Detroit Lions. That makes this game on Thanksgiving even more pivotal.
The Miami Dolphins were one of the most highly touted teams coming into the 2024 season. Head coach Mike McDaniel was bringing back all of his main guys and with a stacked roster, many people believed that the Dolphins could make a deep playoff run. But that all changed when their starting quarterback Tua Tagoviloa went down with a concussion earlier this season. Since Tua’s return the Dolphins have gotten back on the right track, winning three games in a row. With a record of 5-6 entering this matchup, it is unlikely that they will make up enough ground to challenge the 9-2 Buffalo Bills for the AFC East Division title. But if they have enough juice in the tank, they definitely have enough time to make the playoffs. And once they get in anything can happen.
The stakes for this Thanksgiving Day matchup couldn’t be any higher.
