The Cincinnati Bengals have had an abysmal season to this point. But one could argue that a lot of that has to do with a string of bad luck. One thing that is for sure is that their losses haven’t come as a result of a shortage of offense. After their 44-38 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers last week, the Bengals have lost four games where they have scored 30 or more points. To give you a closer glimpse of just how unfortunate they have been, the overall record of teams throughout the league who score at least 30 points is 79-7. Although the playoffs may be a long shot for the Bengals, mathematically they still have a shot. But another loss would make reaching the postseason nearly impossible for Cincinnati.
It has been another season of ups and downs for the Dallas Cowboys. And unfortunately for Dallas, the downs have been plentiful. After a pedestrian start to the season, things went from bad to worse for the Cowboys after they lost their starting quarterback Dak Prescott for the season after suffering a hamstring injury. But the Cowboys have refused to go down quietly. And after taking down their division rival, the New York Giants, on Thanksgiving night there seems to be a renewed energy inside of the Cowboys locker room. But if they want to dig themselves out of this seemingly insurmountable hole, they cannot afford many other losses.
