It’s no easy task playing in a division that is as loaded as the SEC. Unfortunately, the Arkansas Razorbacks know that all too well. They went 3-5 in conference play and had a record of 6-6 overall. But the record doesn’t tell the whole story. The Razorbacks held their own against some of the biggest Goliaths in college football. They pulled off a stunning upset over the seventh-ranked Tennessee Volunteers earlier this season and almost pulled out another upset against the third-ranked Texas Longhorns.
The Texas Tech Red Raiders had a more successful season than the Razorbacks. But they also played in a significantly weaker Big 12 conference. They went 6-3 in conference play and had an overall record of 8-4. But they did have several impressive wins throughout the season. The knocked off 12th-ranked Arizona State and 18-ranked Iowa State.
The Razorbacks come in as the favorites in this matchup. But it is not by a large margin as they are only favored by 1.5-points over the Red Raiders. Oddsmakers have this one as a high-scoring affair with the over/under being marked at 52.5 points.
