Yankees Drop Beard Ban

Probably the biggest and most impactful sports news we have had in a while, the New York Yankees, titans of baseball and a team that has not won a championship in quite a long time, have decided to revoke the ban on facial hair.

From the times of George Steinbrenner until now the Yankees have had a policy against facial hair except mustaches. This policy reversal has taken place as a ploy for the Yankees to improve their player recruitment.

Yeah, that’s the issue here. You just recruiter two former MVPs and had Juan Soto on the roster but the issue is bringing in big names.

Sorry, not sorry, if you couldn’t tell I am a Red Sox fan.

Hal Steinbrenner thought the rule was outdated and somewhat unreasonable. His father, George, implemented the policy back in 1976 during spring training, and 49 years later his son has undone it.

Honestly, I’m surprised it took this long for the change to happen, I would think players would really have an issue with it. Maybe it really did affect recruiting!
