Christmas is one of the most beloved holidays across the globe. Whether you love it because it is a celebration of the birth of your savior or you just like presents, we call it “the most wonderful time of the year” for a reason.
A staple of the holidays are the movies we watch, and some of my favorite come from the legendary Home Alone series.
In the second movie, Kevin ends up alone in New York City, gross, and finds his way into the Plaza Hotel which was owned by Trump.
According to the director, Chris Columbus, Trump demanded a cameo in exchange for allowing the crew to film in the hotel.
Columbus joked that even though he wants to cut the scene where Trump gives young Kevin directions, that might get him deported.
Macaulay Culkin back in 2021 supported deleting the scene. This reminds me of people’s reactions then and now to the late great Mac Miller’s song, which referenced Trump.
Before his controversial political career, Trump was a symbol of wealth and was often celebrated in the media. Now there is a little less celebration.
