NFL Sunday Preview: Colts/Titans
Week 2 is in the books, and the story of this young NFL season might just be the improbable run the Colts are on. In Week 1 they dismantled Miami, then followed it up with a thrilling win over a 2024 playoff team in the Broncos. They’re the first team in NFL history not to punt through two weeks. Even the most optimistic Colts fans wouldn’t have expected this start.
And they’re being led by none other than Daniel “Indiana” Jones. I’ve always thought Jones got a bad rap. He’s not an elite QB, but the biggest fallacy in the NFL is that “wins are a QB stat.” They aren’t. People saw a failing Giants team and put the blame on Jones — not the coaches, not a weak receiving group, not a shaky offensive line, not a bad secondary, but one man. Good for Jones to ball out.
The Colts are more than just Jones, though. Their defense ranks as a top-five unit through two games. Add in a terrific O-line, solid receivers, and All-Pro RB Jonathan Taylor, and Indianapolis looks like a complete team.
Do they keep it going? Hard to think they won’t in Week 3 against a Titans team near the bottom of the league in every metric. Cam Ward looks promising, but that’s about the only thing Titans fans can be happy about.Despite the Colts rise and the Titans mediocrity, Vegas still thinks this game stays close, giving the Titans +4.5 on the spread and the Colts a -198 ML. DraftKings has set the total at 43.5, an exceptionally low total considering the offensive prowess Indianapolis has shown thus far.
Bets to consider for Sunday :
- Colts -4.5 at -105: Yea, it smells like a rat line, but I want the cheese and Indy looks good.
- Daniel Jones Over 25 rushing yards at -113: Dude can run and run he will
- Tony Pollard TD scorer at -125: Pollard is Ward’s best weapon and adds to the pass game
- Dirty Mike’s Parlay of the week : Taylor 2 TD’s + Jones Anytime TD Scorer + Taylor 100+ Rushing Yards + Jones 25+ rushing Yards + Taylor 20+ rushing attempts | +2300
Tail it if you love money. All of the lines above are from DraftKings, which is also offering over $400 in value to sign up today.
