Wow, this looked scary.
During some Saint Patrick’s Day celebrations in the great city of Pittsburgh, crowds gathered along Semple Street, partying at some off-campus houses and spilling over into the street.
Many of these houses had porches with windows leading out to the porch roofs.
The place was absolutely slammed and many partiers were looking for some more space. Several ended up walking out onto the roofs of the porches and decided to hang out there.
This ended up not being the greatest idea, as too many people ended up on one porch roof leading to its collapse.
This injured a lot of people and led to 16 people being hospitalized in stable conditions.
It seems like everyone will be OK with some bumps, bruises, and broken bones, but this goes to show; keep your head clear and party safe. Happy Saint Patrick’s Day everyone!!
