In a shocking and embarrassing turn of events for America, a group chat where potential sensitive military operation information was leaked. To put it in terms my dear readers would understand, it’s like if the PC group chat leaked, or your PlayStation voice logs went public, except for America.
Now this group was talking about some airstrikes they wanted to conduct on Houthi targets, which is a terrorist group out of Yemen, I believe. The group chat was using an app called signal, and funnily enough, there was a member of the chat named Dan Katz. Big Cat actually thought for a second that they were talking about his legendary start to March, in which he went 16-0.
Now that is all well and good, not really how I thought military operations were planned but what do I know?
The real issue here was Jeffrey Goldberg, the EDITOR IN CHIEF OF THE ATLANTIC was somehow in the group. People seem divided on how he ended up in there, but an incredibly prominent journalist was privy to war planning for some reason.
Pete Hesgeth, the Defense Secretary says that no classified info was shared, but I’m not quite sure I agree with him.
Either way, this is sloppy or intentional, neither of which are acceptable.
Both sides of the political spectrum seem fairly up in arms about this, I wonder if anything will actually happen or if this will all just kind of get swept under the rug and forgotten about. Who knows.
