Man, I really thought this five-game matchup was going to be closer. New York has come out of the All-Star break hotter than an old Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover, and they’ve been better at starting pitching than Demi Lovato is at making outrageous headlines. Both these teams are deep with great bullpens, but the Mets have the edge here. The Mets are winning the season series, and with their campaign over these last few games, I think they will get bumped up into the top three echelon of the MLB power rankings.

The final game will feature Jacob Degrom pitching against Spencer Strider for Atlanta. Spencer Strider has Rookie Of The Year on lock, but if you are thinking about betting against the best pitcher in baseball, you deserve Guantanamo Bay treatment. I see Jacob Degrom, I bet on him. Simple as that. I’ve been impressed by the way the Mets have been swinging the bat as a team, and I can’t wait to see them close this brutal stretch out. Take the Mets to win and be sure to take advantage of the closest thing to free money without having to sell your body.
