It’s time for an AL Central series where the Guardians of Cleveland travel to the Windy City to take on the White Sox. Here’s what you should know to responsibly make the most out of this sweet offer from our friends at BetMGM.

White Sox fans, I feel for you. Year in and out you are screwed by your ownership and fate it seems, as another season of disappointment begins to wrap up. In my opinion on paper the White Sox are much better than their 41-61 record. Bottom ten in both runs scored and allowed with names like Luis Robert Jr, Benintendi, Tim Anderson, Eloy Jimenez, Lance Lynn, and Lucas Giolito just does not make sense to me. Luck does not seem to be on your side. Despite that, the Guardians are a beatable team. While they have one of the better defenses in the league, their offense has really struggled and they’re also below .500 despite being second in the AL Central. It might be an uphill battle but the White Sox can win this series. Will they though?

I kind of doubt it. The Guardians are tied for fourth in the league in runs allowed as their opponents only score 4.1 runs a game on average. Sure they struggle to score but it doesn’t matter if you only score three runs if your opponent scores one. They’re tied for ninth in the MLB in hits per game, 7th in ERA, 9th in WHIP, and 2nd in home runs allowed. Seven of the batters on the active roster are hitting above .250 led by Josh Naylor whos hitting .303. Bieber, Bibee, Allen, and Civale have been gross on the pitching staff, and the rest of the bullpen has been more than serviceable. If the Guardians can figure out a way to score a couple runs a game they should absolutely be able to win this series. I’m leaning towards taking the Guardians.

Who’s gonna win this AL Central Showdown? Who knows, but bet on either team and get your extra $200 in bet credits.
