Game Analysis:
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: Keegan Murray, aside from a school shooter, is the scariest man in America to see in a gym. I’m glad these two teams are playing each other because in all honesty, they are the two most talented teams in the conference. Purdue took care of business against Michigan State, which was to be expected, but I was more impressed by the Hawkeyes’ win against a scrappy Indiana team. March is about two things: spring break and stars shining under the bright lights, and that’s what we have with this game. Jaden Ivey has been incredible all year; he’s an excellent playmaker that can create scoring opportunities out of thin air. With that being said, I genuinely believe Keegan Murray is the most talented college basketball player in this year’s class. Even when he’s being defended well, as he was against the Hoosiers, he can score at the frequency of a white lady calling Target “tar-jee.” I know Purdue has a two-headed monster at their four and five, I know that they can outrebound almost anyone, and I know that Jaden Ivey has gotten all of the hype out of the Big 10. And as talented as the Boilermakers are, I still know that Iowa will win this game. I predicted it from the start. The Hawkeyes are playing with an ungodly amount of confidence and trust in one another, and that’s the threshold where teams win in March. Take the Hawkeyes.
