This game could be the cold shower that LSU needs to wake up. With Tuesday’s loss to Ole Miss, the Tigers fell to 4-5 in conference play, and considering SEC basketball is the best its ever been, that needs to improve immediately. Mizzou transfer Xavier Pinson has been more disappointing than me in bed after three stiff drinks, and it would be a damn shame if LSU’s impeccable defensive unit was wasted on subpar offensive efficiency. That being said, I expect freshman stars Efton Reid and Brandon Murray to continue to grow more comfortable in LSU’s offense, which will take a load off of Tari Eason, who has carried the load. Vandy does not match up well against this LSU team on the other side of the ball. Like Damien Lillard on the Blazers, without Scottie Pippen Jr., this team would function worse than the breaks on a 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee (RIP Anton Yelchin). Take LSU.
