My Take:
The last time these two teams matched up earlier this month, the wind gusts were faster than you can legally drive in a residential, so excuse me for not blaming Josh Allen or the Bills offense. This game will have huge implications on both the legacy of Josh Allen and the winner of the AFC East. The Patriots open up as a 2.5 point favorite at home, but I don’t see them winning this game. Sure, the last time these two teams played, the Bills’ run defense looked about as effective as these vaccines have been for slowing the spread of COVID. And yes, historically speaking, the Bills are the “little brother” franchise. However, as poised as Mac Jones has been this year, he is a rookie at the end of the day. When you think of the quarterbacks you would build a franchise with, Josh Allen is one of the first names to come to mind because of his play on the field and leadership ability. Josh Allen is the type of guy you want to build around, and more importantly, he’s the type of guy that wins a game like this one. We are talking about a guy that has been written off his whole life: Junior College, Wyoming, and his first two years in the NFL. The Bills will not only cover; they will win.
