Name me a more exciting time than March Madness Tournament season. You can’t. The upsets, the smack-downs, the crazy highlights, the electric atmosphere. And sprinkle in some responsible gambling? Oh man, where do I sign up? Not to be the bearer of bad news here but uh, I have a feeling that this Jayhawks against the Bison game might fall into the category of smack-down, and highlight reel than upset. Because there is no kind way to say this but, Kansas is levels ahead of Howard as a basketball team. This ain’t upset territory this is blowout territory.

Howard had a record of 22 and 12 and won the MEAC. So I’d say for Howard standards that’s a pretty solid season. However, Howard standards are nowhere near Kansas standards. Let’s start with the level of competition. Howard played…….0 March Madness teams this season? And still lost more games than Kansas. I don’t know how well that translates into trying to upset a one-seed, but I’m gonna go with not well. This is all not to say that the Bison have no talent on their roster. Elijah Hawkins has been having himself a really good season this year. He has been averaging 13 points per game, 5.9 assists per game, and 1.7 steals per game. He leads Howard in every one of these stats, and I’m sure will be hungry to be one of the few teams in NCAA history to upset a top-seeded team.

But the Jayhawks are simply not going to let that happen. They have been playing teams like Duke, Tennessee, Indiana, Kansas State, TCU, Baylor, and Texas to name just a few all season. And they still managed to go 27 and 7 and get a number one seed in March Madness. I would say that that’s not an accident. This Jayhawks team is so chock-full of talent, I don’t even know where to start. I guess the best place would be their elite forward Jalen Wilson who has been averaging 20.1 points per game, 8.4 rebounds per game, and a steal per game. I don’t wanna throw shade at anyone, but I don’t know who on Howard is having success in a matchup against Jalen. To bounce off of that, I don’t know who on Howard is going to score on Dejuan Harris Jr. who’s been averaging 2.1 steals per game to go along with his 6.2 steals per game.

This Jayhawks versus Bison game is going to be a lot like a one-on-one between me and Lebron. Messy and potentially comedic. Bet on the Jayhawks and get $200 in bonus bets!
