Was Michigan State’s shocking loss to Iowa this past weekend great? No. Are they facing an opponent they can take their anger out on this week? Yes. The last time these two teams played, Michigan State came in as a -7.0 point favorite, and they beat Nebraska by 18. While Nebraska has won its past four games, they’ve only beaten teams limping into March Madness and Minnesota…the worst team in the Big Ten by a country mile. While past Michigan State teams have been criticized for not having a superstar, it looks like this year’s roster has recently found one in transfer Tyson Walker. Walker scored 31 points in last weekend’s loss against Iowa and 23 points against Indiana. It took the Spartans a while to find the right lineup, but it seems they’ve found their footing.

The Spartans are safely in March Madness, but they really need this win on the road for Big Ten tournament seeding. And while their loss to Iowa was heartbreaking for everyone who wears green and white, they’ve proved that they can do something that’s been a concern all year- score big. Michigan State went in as a team that struggled to score points all year and, in regulation, threw up 101 points. That was a huge effort, and the combination of Joey Hauser and Tyson Walker should scare a Nebraska team that’s allowing more points than they average per game. Michigan State comes in once again as the favorite, and they’re 70.0% ATS after a loss. Want to put some money in your pocket for a long weekend?
