Oh, what a great game to continue the March madness opening rounds. Michigan State and USC are about to be a titanic first-round matchup. Normally the seven and ten-seed games are not that enjoyable to watch, but I love this one. These are two teams that both lost in big-time conference tournaments and will be looking to rectify that mistake in the end of season Tourney. Look for a fast-paced, high-action game that Michigan State comes out on top of.

The Michigan State Spartans have been a force to be reckoned with this season. Against teams in the top 25, they have gone .500, and have looked real good doing it. As a team, the Spartans are tied for the third-best 3-point shooting percentage. They’ve gotten themselves wins against Indiana and Kentucky and only lost by one to the likes of Gonzaga. So these Spartans are battle ready. This Michigan State team loves shooting the ball around the perimeter and knocking down threes like it’s nobody’s business, which works incredibly well against teams with big bodies down low. Whether it’s Joey Hauser, Tyson Walker, or A.J. Hoggard these guys just don’t miss.
This game will be a battle of the guards, and if you’re telling me one of these teams is 3rd in the nation in 3-point shooting while the other is tied for 164th it gives me a good idea of who might win.
