The surging Nuggets this week will be taking on the sliding Suns. Here’s what you need to know to (responsibly) make the most out of this sweet offer from Sports Illustrated.

As of writing this, the Suns are currently fourth in their division and on a six-game skid. Chris Paul has been struggling with some injuries and is currently day-to-day, with Cameron Payne, and Johnson ruled out. Devin Booker has been a bright spot on an otherwise disappointing season, leading the team in points and assists, averaging 27.1 and 5.6, respectively. Deandre Ayton has also been solid, putting up 17.5 points with almost 10 rebounds, showing his worth as a big. Despite their struggles, the Suns have been very good at limiting turnovers, as they’re tied for sixth in the league in that category. They’re also top ten in both assists per game and offensive rebounds, while the Nuggets have had some struggles in the defensive rebound category, so maximizing second chance points is one of the Suns’ keys to victory. While I think they have a chance, it’s going to be an uphill battle for Phoenix going into this game as road dogs.

Now the Nuggets were supposed to be good, yes, but I didn’t expect them to be THIS good. Nikola Jokic is just a cheat code and is in the conversation to be back to back to back MVP, as he is averaging 25.3, 10.8, and 9.5, leading his team in all categories. There’s a reason the Nuggets are number one in the West. 4-1 in their last five, they take on the Lakers before their matchup with the Suns, and if they execute, I think they will win both of these games. 7 Denver players are averaging double digits as Jamal Murray, Aaron Gordon, and Michael Porter Jr. help make up one of the most stacked starting lineups in the league. With the way this team has been playing and the injury concerns the Suns have, I think the Nuggets should beat the Suns just like they did on Christmas, but with even more ease.

The Nuggets are at home against the struggling Suns… yea I like Denver. Bet on the Nugget’s moneyline and get your extra $200 if Denver wins.
